Hailed as the \u201cInternet\u2019s highest honor\u201d by The New York Times<\/em>, The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), is the leading international awards organization honoring excellence on the Internet.<\/p>\n

The Black History in Two Minutes (or so) series received two Webby Awards in May 2020<\/strong>: A People\u2019s Choice award for the Best Podcast: Documentary<\/em> as well for the Best Video Series: Education & Discovery<\/em> as selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS)<\/em> and two more Webby Awards in May 2021<\/strong>, again selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences<\/em> as the Best Podcast: Documentary<\/em><\/a> and Best Video Series: Education & Discovery<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cBlack History in Two Minutes (or so) has set the standard for innovation and creativity on the Internet,\u201d said Claire Graves, Executive Director of The Webby Awards<\/strong>. \u201cThis award is a testament to the skill, ingenuity, and vision of its creators.\u201d<\/p>\n

Black History in Two Minutes (or so) will be honored at the 26th Annual Webby Awards in New York City on\u00a0May 16th,\u00a0hosted by Roy Wood Jr.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hosted by comedian Roy Wood Jr.<\/strong> (The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Roy Wood Jr.: Imperfect Messenger<\/em>) the Webby Awards\u2019 star-studded ceremony \u2013 presented by Verizon \u2013 will take place in New York City on Monday, May 16, and will celebrate the best of the Internet.
