About the series
The Truth
Eighteen artists, hosts and creators each sat alone in a white chair under a single light and gave a raw account of the state of the country. The message: a non-vote is a vote with someone else’s voice.
Thirteen of the pieces went up on the Be Woke Vote YouTube channel on October 31 and November 1, 2020, the weekend before Election Day, and every one of them plays on its own page here. Liife, Mariah McKenzie, Maura Chanz, Miss Diddy and Rodney Rikai are also on Be Woke.Vote’s series page.
Made for Be Woke.Vote. Directed by Omar Joseph. Produced by Omar Joseph, Terrence J, Lenny S., Erin Harris and Darrick Angelone. Executive producers Robert F. Smith, Roxanne Avent and Deon Taylor. Powered by AONE Creative.
